A 10-mile circular walk; moderate to brisk pace; undulating terrain.
Route: along sections of the Pilgrim's Way and the North Downs Way.
Drop-out point after 5 miles: Taxi (or 1 mile walk downhill along Thurnham Lane) from Thurnham to Bearsted Station.
Food: Pub lunch at The Black Horse, Thurnham or picnic nearby.
Travel: 10.01 Victoria, arriving Hollingbourne 11.16. Buy a CDR to Hollingbourne.
Note: if the timetable is altered, catch the train that arrives at or before 11.20.
If there are engineering works that involve a replacement bus, check website / phone for details of the substitute walk.
Meet outside the main entrance to Hollingbourne Railway Station.
