We are the Hull and Holderness Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
New Year walk around Hull old town, rivers and Marina, along the Victoria Dock promenade and over the Murdoch footbridge through the old town. Flat urban streets so trainers will be OK. Finishing at a pub (probably the Sailmaker's Arms, dog-friendly) for optional drinks and meal.
Meet outside the Lion & Key pub, 48 High St, Hull HU1 1QE, corner of Scale Lane. NB: SCALE LANE BRIDGE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED, so if you park in Tower Street, you'll need to walk down to the Millennium Bridge at The Deep and cut back. Otherwise there are car parks in High Street, Lowgate multi-storey, and The Deep. Buses 16 and 79 from Hull Interchange / East Hull run along Lowgate, but many more buses stop in Alfred Gelder St.
