The Bayston Hill Quarry Path, which is part of Route 13 in our walks guide is to receve a new name... 'Bill Hodges Way.Bill was the leading light in ensuring that a public right of way was reinstated when the Quarry expanded in 2010 and first walked by us in Jan 2011.The walk on Thursday June 8th has therefore been changed to include the new 'Bill Hodges Way'.We shall all meet at the Park and Ride, leaving by 9.30a.m. We will then drive to the start point at Bayston Hill. The start point is not published as there is limited parking. The walk will commence at 9:45am.There will be a press photo shoot at the "Bill Hodges Way" at 10:15am.The walk will be 6 miles and is catagorised as Easy.plus. In view of the the delay whilst photographs are taken with the sign we shall have a short lunch stop en-route.There is currently an electric fence around a field of sheep and everyone will need to be mindful of trains when we cross the railway line.If you want to join the group please book in with Reg Wilford (Ruth's phone!) on 07485 203280.
