Overview

Leaving the village we use field paths walking SSE then ENE to Bank Foot. From there field paths and a short section of road will take us to Battersby. We then begin climbing up Coleson Banks to meet the Cleveland Way above Baysdale. This is a steady climb of about 600ft of continous ascent. We follow the Cleveland Way approx SW (good views if the weather is clear) and then descend via Turkey Nab to Bank Foot. The return to Ingleby Greenhow is on field paths past Ingleby Manor to the lane by the church.

Wet and muddy in places. May be livestock in fields (no problems on the recce). The route may be shortened or changed in the event of poor weather.
