This is a lovely walk offering mixed scenery with great views. It is mostly on good paths and tracks. The walk starts from the centre of Innerleithen and follows a metalled path along the banks of the Tweed to Walkerburn. From Walkerburn the route follows the Walker Burn upto Priesthope, first of all in the open valley, and then into coniferous plantation (not too dense). The path then heads West, leaving the trees at Pirn Law, where a fairly steep narrow path leads back down to Innerleithen. There are fantastic views all round in this section.
Of particular interest is the crossing of the Lethen Water at the end of the walk. This is the Cuddy Brig which dates back to 1701 and was a 'stipendbridge', built with funds from a vacant ministry in the area.
Although a fairly straightforward walk, poles are strongly recommended for the steep descent from Pirn Law. In terms of Biggar Ramblers grading system, this is a grade B walk.
