We begin this walk in the beautiful Redbourn Common before crossing the village and traversing some spiralling footpaths that take us through Harpenden Golf Course. We then stroll along the pleasant River Ver, which is one of around only 200 chalk rivers in the entire world.
We cross a couple of fords before arriving at the historic Redbournbury Mill, a working flour mill thought to have been first built in the early 11th Century. We’ll take a stop to explore this historic attraction, with the option to have some refreshments and buy some treats to take home.
Then we head back through more pleasant countryside before returning to our start point in Redbourn, a multiple winner of the prestigious Hertfordshire Village of the Year award.
