We are the Balerno Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
5 miles short Introductory walk, leaving from Balerno High School bus stop (serviced by a no 44 Lothian bus) and walking a circular route to Harlaw Reservoir.
What to bring
A drink and snack for a short mid morning break. Something to sit on the grass in case it's wet. A seating mat or bin liner/shopping bag will suffice. Hopefully we will find seats but not always dry.
What to wear
Waterproof walking shoes or trainers with a tread incase it's muddy. You may also wish to bring a walking pole if you use one.
We regret no dogs are permitted on our walks. Please contact walk leader to register attendance
Arrive at Balerno High school bus stop 09:50 to be ready to leave at 10:00 prompt. Use a no 44 bus (Wallyford to Balerno) in either direction. If coming by car, there is a carpark in the Currie Rugby Club. This can be found by passing Balerno High School, turn left at the next junction after the Police station, the Rugby Club on your left and sign posted.
