Overview

I led this hike back on the 17th March this year and the weather forecast was for a rainy day so only a few hardy hikers turned up. As it was, the rain did not appear. However, the mud was awful and it was suggested that we do the hike again without the mud... so here we go!

We start our hike from Iping Common car park at 10.00am heading over to Trotton Common. We carry on to Chithurst with its church dating back to the 11th Century making our way on to meet the Serpent Trail which takes us to Titty Hill (no snickering!) and on to Older Hill. We start our return route via Stedham and back to Iping. A very scenic and rewarding area in which to hike.

I would describe the walk as moderate and will be at a reasonable pace.

We will have two short breaks for coffee and a picnic lunch.

Dogs under control welcome. You are welcome to join us for a drink in The Hamilton Arms after the hike
