This is a hill and waterside walk in the Kilpatricks taking us round Jaw Reservoir up on to Cochno Hill and then descending via Greenside Reservoir back to our starting point. It offers great views on a clear day over Glasgow and the distant hills.
There are some long sections of steep ascent and descent and some boggy, muddy, at times very rough terrain to negotiate. A good level of fitness is required. Walking boots and waterproofs essential, gaiters and poles recommended.
Booking for this walk opens two weeks before on 26 April.
We'll take the Number 2 bus from Partick station to Faifley in Clydebank where the walk will start. We'll walk up through local woodland to Auchnacraig car park where walkers are welcome to meet the group there if they prefer to drive. Please contact the leader, Yvonne, if you would like to meet at Auchnacraig car park.
This is a fairly strenuous walk so we'll have a couple of tea breaks and a lunch stop along the way to rest and refuel.
There are a couple of stiles to climb over.
There are no toilets on this route although there is some cover.
