Jubilee Bridge
An easy to moderate 4.7 mile walk with only two stiles and one steepish hill to tackle early on. The rest of the walk is easy, but there will be some "clarts" to navigate. We begin the walk at Jubilee Nature area, Stony Bank, Willington, DL15 0DJ, by first doing a short circuit of the Nature area before heading North east along the riverside. After a short distance we turn north and go through a very old steel Kissing gate to begin our steep, but short, climb up a field to our first stile. We'll take it slow and steady as the views from the top are well worth it. From here we have a short spell on a good road eastward to join a farm track towards Page Bank wood, enjoying lovely views as we go. Just before Page Bank Wood, we turn south east over our second stile, to make our way down to the river Wear. At the river, it's a steady walk back enjoying the views as we go (and probably some "claggy clarts" in places). Refreshments afterwards will be at the Bone Appetit Cafe, Lowland Road, Brandon, DH7 8NN. I have selflessly recced the food here (it's a tough job).
