Overview

The Kinlet walk is a very pretty walk varying from vast open planes with stunning views as well as pleasant wooded areas.  We'll pass The church of St. John the Baptist which stands in solitary grandeur three quarters of a mile along the drive from the village to Kinlet Hall

It is the last remnant of the old village that stood on this site for anything up to a millennium and probably there was a wooden church on the same site before the Normans came and built in stone, for it was a village of importance in royal ownership well before the Domesday Survey was carried out. We can spend a few minutes there if the group would like to.
