This is a 4.5 mile circular walk exploring beautiful Knole Park, Kent's last medieval deer park. Starting at Sevenoaks station , we will walk uphill through residential streets to the park . Once inside the park we will follow mostly surfaced paths, circuiting Knole House and passing through part of a golf course. We will stop at the National Trust cafe by Knole house for refreshments and toilets .
Knole park has beautiful old trees and views. Knole house, the historic home of the Sackville family is known as a "calendar house" as it apparantly has 365 rooms!
It is important to note that the deer in the park are not enclosed, therefore dogs must be kept on leads at all times. ( I will not be bringing my dog because she is not well behaved around livestock , but if dogs are well behaved and under control they are welcome)
On the way back from the park, we will walk through the town of Sevenoaks which has some attractive old buildings, on our way down to the station.
