Overview

This is a circular walk from Litlington southwards to Morden Grange Plantation which surrounds the recently abandoned workings of the Steeple Morden chalk pit, locally known as The Whitings.  We will go out past Litlington's own clunch pit and Morden Grange Farm.  The return route is mainly along Ashwell Street, which follows the route of the old Roman Road.

The land is relatively flat and open but a panorama opens out at the plantation which looks back towards Litlington.
