This 7.5 mile circular walk follows two sections of the Severn Way with a linking section on well defined tracks. There are two climbs, both of which are in the first half of the walk. The first climb is fairly early in the walk and is moderately steep in parts as it takes us up out of the Severn valley. We will take this part of the walk slowly with rests as required. After this the walk follows the Severn Way as it descends into the next valley. The second climb starts shortly after we leave the Severn Way and is a steady walk up an well maintained inclined track that leads to a vantage point with excellent views (weather permitting!). After this point the remainder of the walk is mostly on the level following a minor road before returning along the Severn Way to complete the walk in Llandinam.
Note: For those who joined a similar walk that I led 2 years ago. This year's route is slightly shorter and the initial climb is not quite as steep.
