A linear walk from Llandrindod Wells, via Llanyre, Llanyre Mast, and Gwastedyn Hill, to Rhayader. We will be catching the X47 bus at 10.16am from Rhayader main car park which will get us into Llandrindod bus station at 10.48am. Great views on a clear day from the two hills we have to climb.
There was a lot of mud when we did the reccie, but hopefully the ground may have dried a bit before the end of April. Two quite strenuous climbs which are worth it when you get to the top. An alpaca farm, a hippy encampment and a short section of the River Wye are some of the highlights! There are some dodgy stiles too. We have called the walk Strenuous due to the length and the ascents. Some younger & fitter people might view it as Energetic!
