Southport Ramblers welcome all age groups from 8 to 80+ for fortnightly worry-free walking (travelling by coach) with like-minded people throughout the year.
A very popular destination with good coach parking and lots of refreshment places to relax in following your walk. With less daylight than when we visit in spring and summer today will offer the opportunity to walk an A or B walk that will be shorter then normal.
A Walk Leader - Dave White
B Walk Leader - Janet Loines - A classic curcular walk from Llangollen of 8.5 miles with 1470ft of ascent, taking in Castell Dinas Bran, Valley Crucis Abbey and Horseshoe Falls. Returning along the canal to Llangollen.
C Walk Leader - Dave Ecclles - 7 miles with 318ft of ascent. Starting from Trevor we walk beneath the Aqueduct and head towards Offa's Dyke Path before joining the canal towpath. On arrival at Llangollen Bridge we head slightly uphill to the tower then head back into the town via the canal. A flat walk with just a couple of slightly uphill climbs, and no stiles.
Three walk will be available with details circulated on the coach. They will range from easy to strenuous depending on the walk selected.
