Starting from lay by on right on A40 after Bwlch village.  After leaving Bwlch, follow A40 past Welsh Venison Centre and lay by is signposted with a brown tourist sign.

From the car park we follow the Roman Road to Bwlch then join the Beacons Way up Cefn Moel and Mynydd Llangorse then on to Llangorse Lake and return over Allt yr Esgair and back to the car park.
