Overview

This is a very pleasant 6 mile walk around the Glen Estate with its picturesque and secluded loch. The walk starts at the lodge house and once we’ve passed the village hall and several farm buildings, we will follow a track through farmland. After passing a shepherd’s cottage at the atmospheric Glenshiel Banks, we’ll turn left onto a rough path which runs along Gumscleuch Burn. At the foot of Glendean Banks, we’ll reach the lovely Loch Eddy which is a little man-made reservoir for Glen House. The path then leads us back to the Estate farm buildings with a lovely view of Glen House.
