Overview

London Loop 7. Train from Staines 09:08, Ashford 09:11 Change at Clapham Junction (platform 11) arrives Tolworth Station at 10:15. This stretch (5.5 miles) follows the Hogsmill river from Old Tolworth Bridge to Kingston Bridge and is mainly flat, apart from where we have to leave the river near the start where there is the only hill. There are official diversions on this section and I intend taking one of them  which won't increase the mileage to any great extent. There are footpath closures on this section re deep mud (see Inner London Ramblers web site - problems on the loop walk 8). There are ways round these but one will follow a road which runs parallel to the river. There will be a coffee stop at a pub near OLd Tolworth Bridge. Lunch will be at Kingston at the end of the walk where there are plenty of pubs, cafes etc.
