Overview

Walk starts at Perth riverside walking north alone the town side of the river Tay .Pass under the bridge where high water marks from various floods have been carved and continue along the Tarmac cycle route with the park on the left and the river on the right .Follow the cycle path and pedestrian track through the park lands where a couple of viewing platforms project onto the water golf course on your left .
At the far end of the golf course follow the cycle path as it turns right to head back to the river you will see gate posts with a barrier take the right hand fork to follow the path as it runs along the river separated by a stone wall .After the wall ends take the right hand branch at the next fork keeping on cycle paths 77
This part of the walk is by the river and across the river is Scone Palace grounds we follow the sign posts for Luncarty .Lunch stop Follow the cycle track as it bends in land and goes under the railway and a bridge carrying the A 9 and then takes a left hand fork uphill passing a gate and then turning right to follow an old road to the right where their as an information board .The path now heads back down the othe side of the river Almond .
At this point where is a diversion as new bridge is being constructed follow the diversion and then you will see a house on the right take the road on the right at the house it will be signposted Luncarty follow the road and you will come to Allotments on the right just before the village continue into the village you then see a Hall at the end of the road and path going down the left side take the path and follow it to the end main road turn right go down hill a short distance and then right again you will see a Spa shop on the left end of walk coach will then take you to Dobbies Perth maybe 11minutes for toilets and coffee
