Overview

A longer walk in Weardale aimed at distance training for members taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in June 2024. (Not necessary to intend to do this to attend!) 13 miles of woodland, moorland, riverside and quiet roads. Westgate - Slitt Wood - Walton's Allotment - Rispey Mill - Lintzgarth - Rookhope - Weardale Way to Eastgate via Smailsburn and Ambling Gate Bank - Hag Bridge - Westernhopeburn -Brotherlee - North nank of River Wear
