We are the Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Pre-registration preferred but not essential**
Leisurely (especially uphill) 4 mile walk, about 2.5 hours walking . Several drop-out points.
Some uphill a.m, but mainly gently downhill.
Expected muddy. Some road walking at end, but can be omitted by taking a bus.
Route: Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge (possible visit), The Warren, Linder’s Field Local Nature Reserve, Roding Valley.
Lunch: Café/pub lunch at The Warren Wood.
Meet at Chingford Overground Station (Weaver Line, Zone 5) at 11.00. Toilets available.
Travel: Liverpool St 10.33 - or from Mildmay Line change at Hackney Central - or from Victoria Line change at Walthamstow Central.
Finish: Chigwell Underground Station (Central Line, Zone 4), or take bus to Buckhurst Hill.
