This circular walk starts from the village of Offham through woodland and a working vegetable farm to Offham churchyard. Then on to Ryarsh church with its herringbone masonry, and past a watermill into West Malling. We’ll take a short break at West Malling parish churchyard to hear how the 20th century renovations were paid for by the sale of The Malling Jug. We then walk alongside the lake at Manor Park Country Park to reach St Leonard’s Tower before heading back to Offham with its medieval quintain, thought to be the last remaining in England.
Parts of the walk will be muddy in February; walking poles recommended. Three stiles.
Non-members are invited to join this walk as one of their three free 'taster' Ramblers walks.
Dogs welcome on a short lead.
Nibble break part way through the walk (bring own refreshments).
Drinks after the walk at The King's Arms, Offham or at Spadework cafe. To book lunch at The King's Arms, call 01732 870 114.
