Lower Pentlands circular walk.
Leader Pat Banfill mobile 07786 022733
Meet at Currie Library at 9.15 for 9.30 start. Climbing steadily along Kirk Road, Blinkbonny Road and up through Poets Glen, and then up Ranges Road to Cock Rigg. If it is a wonderful day and people are up for it, we may ascend to the col in Maidens Cleugh to enjoy the view to Glencourse reservoir. We’ll then descend, whilst hopefully enjoying the views towards Fife, to the edge of Harlaw reservoir and around the reservoir to the visitor centre, where there are toilets. Then past Harlaw Farm on field paths to Duncan’s belt, Lymphoy Road and back to the library. 7 miles, or a bit more, ascent 150m. It may be muddy and poles are recommended.
Please WhatsApp or text the leader if you would like to book a place on this walk with your name and mobile telephone number, and advise if you have a medical condition relevant to your walking.
We regret that no dogs are allowed on our walks.
