A moderate 12.2-mile (19.6Kms) circular walk from Lydeard Hill Car Park with 1,815 feet of climb. The walk commences in a Westerly direction over Lydeard Hill and then descends through the Bagborough Plantation before contouring round to the village of Triscombe. The walk continues round the foot of Great Hill before ascending to the west side of the Quantock Hills at Black Hill. From here we loop back Easterly on the Macmillan Way West, skirting the edge of the Quantock Forest to the village of Alsholt. We then follow a clear Southerly path, ascending gently slopes back to the car park. A dog-friendly walk with a couple of small stiles. There are route variations available to cut short the walk in the event of inclement weather on the day.
