Overview

This is a lovely winter walk, taking in the pretty village of Lyndon and a two mile stretch of the scenic Rutland Water.   It is mostly tracks and road verges so there will be minimum mud.

For those wanting to have lunch or beverage and cake at the end of the walk, I will advise the staff of numbers before we set off.

It is a fairly new cafe and the food and drinks are very good.  We should be back at the cars by 12.15pm.  Lunch is optional.

There will be a coffee stop on Rutland Water so bring a flask or a drink of choice.

Toilets at the cafe can be used at the beginning and end of the walk.

There are no stiles.

Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead at all times.

Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.

In the event of severe weather, please contact the leader on the day of the walk to check the walk is still on.
