We are the Trafford Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
BOOKING REQUESTED
Head along lanes and paths from the car park, behind Losehill Hall, and ascend to Lose Hill. Along the ridge to Mam Tor, and descend to the road by Winnats Pass. Continue southerly, then east to join the Limestone Way and return to Castleton. Hopefully there will be a good festive vibe in Castleton, which we will enjoy for a while after the walk with a café or pub stop. Christmas jumpers, Santa hats, tinsel, etc are optional, but strongly encouraged!
Risk assessment: Paths rocky and uneven in parts, may be muddy / boggy in or after wet weather. May be livestock on route. Some minor road walking, and one road crossing by Winnats. Escape routes to shorten the walk if necessary due to weather conditions.
Please contact the walk leader if you wish to bring a dog. Please let the walk leader know of any health issues they should be aware of.
