Overview

A 10 mile leisurely walk from Mexborough to Conisbrough mainly along the Trans Pennine Trail. We will cross the spectacular Conisbrough viaduct and have a lunch stop in Conisbrough, with the chance to visit a pub or cafe. In the afternoon we will go through Old Denaby to return to Mexborough. About 830 ft of ascent overall.

Mexborough Railway Station Take the A630 to Conisbrough. At the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill, turn right onto the A6023 to Mexborough. After about 2 miles take the 2nd exit at the roundabout to stay on the A6023. After about 1 mile take the 1st exit at the roundabout to stay on the A6023. After about 400 yards turn left onto Station Road towards Mexborough Railway Station. Park on Station Road. DO NOT park in the Station Car Park (to the left of the station) as it is only for those using trains.
