Overview

Starting from the Mow Cop castle folly, on lanes, canal towpath and field paths - muddy in places, with one particularly marshy area and with numerous kissing gates and stiles. Taking in a visit to Little Moreton Hall, a timbered Elizabethan house virtually unaltered by time and now a National Trust property. One long steady climb returns us through Roe Park to Mow Cop.
