Overview

A stimulating walk across the northern half of Mynydd Gwrhyd.

We will walk towards the lake at Tairgwaith (former) opencast mining site.

We can expect magnificent Mountain Views in all directions!

Join Mike for another great and accessible walk with lovely views.

Afterwards, we will go for refreshments to Travellers’ Well pub (Rhyd y Fro).

Directions:  Travel north from Swansea on A4067.

At Pontardawe, turn left to join A474.

Follow A474 through Pontardawe and head north to Rhyd-y-fro.

In front of The Travellers’ Well, turn right (uphill) on Gwrhyd Road.

Follow the Gwrhyd road for nearly 3 miles to reach the chapel on your right.
