This is an excellent circular walk from Wellgatehead Car Park in Lanark and following road and woodland path to New Lanark. We then join the Clyde Walkway past Dunstaff Linn, Cora Linn and Bonninngton Linn, before crossing the Clyde and walking past Corehouse Estate to Kirkfieldbank, and recrossing the river at historic Clydeholm Bridge. We complete walk by following Clyde walkway path to Castlebank Park and a short walk back to car park.
This is a beautiful walk with great views of historic New Lanark and the spectacular Falls of Clyde. The walk is on easy woodland and riverside paths, with some steep ascents, pavement and minor roads.
