Overview

From the start point at Newnham on Severn we walk along the riverbank to Bullo Pill before walking up into the Forest and then down to Soudley Ponds. We then make the steep climb to the view point of Blaize Bailey before making our way down through Little Dean hill with fabulous views of Arlingham on the opposite side of the river and admiring the double bend in the River Severn. Then back down through some fields to our start point.

Grading is at the top end of Moderate.

The middle section (just before lunch) is an ascent of 350 ft over a 1/3rd mile up to Blaize Bailey. A good level of fitness is needed to get to the top but we will be stopping for a breather! Some muddy parts in the fields but generally walking conditions should be quite good.
