We are the Pembrokeshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A varied walk with splendid views across Newport Bay. Starting from the Parrog the route is west along the Coast Path to the shingle beach at Cwm Rhigian. Then heading inland through woodland and across the main road to the slopes of Carningli.
After traversing the lower slopes of Carningli Common we drop down through wodland and back to the start via the back streets of Newport.
Coast Path, quiet country lanes and open access land. Be prepared for several challenging stiles.
Sorry not suitable for dogs.
There are road works taking place in Newport and part of the road is closed. This shoud not be a problem if you are comming from the west, Fishguard direction.
You can gain access to the Parrog even if the signs say road closed.
Please check Walks Programme the afternoon before the walk for changes.
Free car park and toilet at the Parrog. Look for the Parrog signpost on the left as you enter the town from the west.
