We're off to nearby Shropshire this Sunday with a walk around Newport and the surrounding area with Richard who knows his away around these parts. His route is a mix of lanes, a former railway line, and some field footpaths which are going to be muddy for sure😬, but we're all used to that by now aren't we?
Why not join us for the day as you're most welcome to do so. Let us know you'll be coming and we'll look out for you at the start. Thank you. If you've walked with us before there's no need to advise as we'll recognise you.

Directions: Primarily for our own members or anyone arriving from the south and the A5 or M54 Junction 3.
From your home location take the A5 west through Weston-under-Lizard until you come to A41 roundabout 1 mile later. Turn right here, direction Whitchurch,and continue for 5 miles.
Go straight over first roundabout & past Lidl & then past Mere Park Garden Centre. At the next roundabout turn left signed for Newport onto Stafford Road. Quickly over a roundabout and on for 0.5 mile to traffic lights. New Inn pub on your left.
Turn left, and almost immediately Stafford Street car park is on your right. Park near entrance/exit as top end of car park is only short stay only. Don't park in the Waitrose car park as camera controlled and short term only.
For people coming from Stafford direction on the A518, just go straight over the roundabout at the A41 into town, then as above.
Stafford Street long stay car park, off Audley Road, Newport, Shropshire. Park up soon as soon as you enter noting the lower end of this car park is short stay only. No charges. Toilets nearby. ⚠️Don't confuse with the adjacent Waitrose car park which is under CCTV control.
