Overview

This circular walk from Newport to Debden Park church via undulating hills and woodland with some nice views. There may be one or two stiles if the gates are locked. Deer are frequently seen in this northern part of Essex.

The meeting point is Newport Railway Station on the east side on Chalk Farm Lane. The train from Cambridge departs at 9.20 arriving at Newport at 9.43. Return trains are hourly leaving at 27 minutes past the hour. Standard return fare is £10.50. There is some car parking on Chalk Farm Lane. Walk leader Sylvia on 07826 064894.
