Fifth and final in a series of linear walks - travelling from the northernmost point in Surrey (at the top of Wraysbury reservoir) to the southernmost point (on the slopes of Blackdown).
We're finally there - and we're into "here be dragons" with the train times. Providing the timetable's the same on the 22nd of March as the 1st of March, the 10:37 from Haslemere will get into Witley at 10:43. We'll be heading off after that one's arrived.
From Witley we'll cut over, and then down across through Ten Acre Wood and Coombe Court Farm. We'll pass through Frillinghurst Wood, which has a tendency to get muddy, before crossing out of Surrey into West Sussex in Barfold Wood and heading South to the Temple Of The Winds for lunch. From here, we'll start heading back towards Haslemere station. Just outside Chase Wood, we'll cross back into Surrey at the southernmost point.
Feeling a sense of achievement, we'll stop past The White Horse or The Swan Inn, and then head back to Haslemere Station.
Other notes:
- We've provided an automated estimate of the end time and this will be affected by many factors - please only use as a guide. The description above may also have specific notes on ending details.
- If not mentioned in the walk description, the given ending point will be based on the nearest train station or other obvious central landmark, and might not be exactly where the walk actually ends.
