Overview

Starting at Otford Station, we ascend into the North Downs and follow a section of the North Downs Way.  Above the village of Kemsing we turn north before descending into Shoreham, a very pretty Kent Village surrounded by the beautiful rolling North Downs and situated on the River Darent.  The return route takes us to the Shoreham Memorial Cross on the East facing slopes of the North Downs, through Pilots Wood and then a descent back to the Darent Valley, through farmland, returning to Otford.

As most of the walk is on chalk downland with some steep ascents and descents, it could be slippery if wet.

Likely tea stop in shoreham and option of pub at end of walk.  Bring a picnic.
