The first in a series of six walks. Each begins at a station that is generally served only by one of London Overground's six recently-renamed lines and heads for the edge of the city and the countryside beyond. This time, most of the route follows the Roding Valley, a narrow green strip through the conurbation, but by the end the surroundings are more rural. Please bring packed lunch, pub stop at end of walk.
