A brisk walk starting from Oxted taking the Greensand Way North, then crossing the Pilgrims Way, and joining the Vanguard Way before climbing onto the Downs past Woldingham to Chelsham Court. From there we start our descent, touching on Tatsfield before stopping at the Titsey Brewery Taproom to take our picnic lunches at what is claimed to be the highest point on the North Downs Way. Refreshments will be available at the Taproom.
After lunch it will be a fairly short descent via Titsey and Limpsfield to our starting point in Oxted.
There is a significant climb up onto the Downs and thereafter other smaller hills. The going will be largely on all weather paths but there will be sections of mud for which you should be prepared. However the views, assuming the weather allows, will reward the effort.
Before coming on the walk please check the Sevenoaks Ramblers website for changes, and the weather forecast and come equipped for the conditions.
Bring your own picnic and snacks and water.
Well trained dogs who are capable of this length of walk, speed and conditions are welcome.
