Overview

Please note the following changes: -

Change from: (Start Penshurst Place Layby. TN11 8DG A circular walk with some hills and good views but no stiles; could be muddy after rain. Lunch at The Spotted Dog, EX147 Smart's Hill)

Change to: It is an 8 mile circular walk starting at the entrance to Penshurst Place 10.00am (it is best to park in the grounds as parking on the entrance road is not permitted). There is a cafe in the grounds. 

The walk is for the most part on the level through woods and farmland. There are 3 stiles and parts are a little muddy after the torrential rain last weekend….. so I suggest bringing sticks and wearing boots. We will have lunch at the Spotted Dog( 5 miles into the walk).
