Overview

The walk starts from the Visitors Centre with a steady climb of nearly 285 feet to reach War Down, the highest point of the day. The route then descends gently passing Fagg’s Farm, Appleton Copse, and Coulters Dean Farm where we then pick up the Milky Way which descends steeply into Buriton before following the Hangers Way into Petersfield via The Heath. The route is predominately on good paths and tracks with a few overgrown sections and one low branch to negotiate.
