Leaving Pinkneys Green, we will walk through various woodlands, which is pleasurable at Autumn time. Heading towards Winter Hill, we will walk alongside the River Thames, followed by several ascents to Winter Hill, where we will have lunch.
Our walk then takes us through farmland, footpaths and tracks ascending from Cookham Dean to the Coppas Farm, where we will see the stars of the show, (although there were not as many turkeys as in previous years on our pre-walk) as well as some Lamas. Walking over Cookham Dean Common, we will make our way back to the car park at Pinkneys Green.
This walk starts at the National Trust (free) car park in Pinkneys Green at 10:30. The car park is fairly small, but there is additional parking in the area. Take the road (Pinkneys Drive) opposite the car park, first left will provide some parking, or further along the road there are spaces as well.
Please wear sturdy walking footwear, as it will be muddy and slippery in places, and bring a packed lunch and drink.
