This is a moderate, linear walk, timings given include the bus ride from Porlock to Parracombe via Lynmouth.
The journey begins with the Exmoor Coaster bus to Lynmouth. Bus stop is in Porlock village, by Doverhay/the One Stop shop (some parking available here, payable).
The Coaster bus takes us to Lynmouth (£2 single, approx 35 mins), the Lyndale Cross car park. From there we change to the 310 bus to the high village of Parracombe (£2 single, approx 30 mins). Our walking starts here! We follow tracks down the combe, passing through a pretty crossing point in the valley and at the Hunter’s Inn. From here we trace our way down the remainder of the valley to meet the South West Coast Path, turning north-west at that point. We follow the SWCP the five or so miles back, through Woody Bay and the wonderfully rugged and renowned Valley of Rocks in the closing stages before arriving in Lynmouth. The walk ends here (expected approx 16:00). Return bus to Porlock runs hourly, at 10 mins past each hour (£2 single, approx 35 mins). This schedule would return us to Porlock at 16:45, assuming we take the 16:10 bus.
