Overview

This is a linear walk. First we catch the bus to Southwell at 10.04. Walk on East Side to Portland Bill (Lobster pot) coffee stop. Pulpit Rock and return by RSPB Observatory inland route. Cut through to West Side, Tout Quarry, Tunnel, Gorge, High Angle Battery, Railway to Merchants Incline and return to car park.  Should be reasonably dry underfoot and the prevailing wind should be behind us.

Park and meet in the free Masonic car park. SY682738. You need to drive around Victoria Square and, as if you were returning to Weymouth, back to access the car park. Ignore the 'pay here' sign - it is a free car park
