Overview

A short circular walk taking in some of the Portland Quarries. Starting from the Portland Stone Henge overlooking Chesil Beach at Yeates Road and at the rear of The Portland Heights Hotel, the walk follows the coast path along New Ground, past Fancy's Farm, the old Engine Shed and around Portland Prison before cutting inland to Easton. The walk then returns via Tout Quarry Reserve & Sculpture Park.

This is a morning walk and is mostly on roads and good paths, although some mud can be expected in places.  Free parking is available in Yeates Road, where there are also public toilets. A coffee stop is possible in Easton.
