Overview

The walk starts from Sandy Heath just outside Potton.

On this walk we will walk though the Deepdale woods, past the tree nursery towards RSPB The Lodge nature reserve following the Nuthatch Trail.

This trail will take us to the Iron Age hillfort at Galley Hill, an ancient monument situated on the RSPB nature reserve.  Galley Hill hillfort overlooks the town of Sandy with commanding wide views over the valley of the River Ivel.
