Overview

It’s a mix of town, country and park walking taking in beautiful Bramhall Hall. There is some road walking, including up a narrow incline on a main road where everyone must walk in single file. It’s mostly a walk on made surfaces but there was mud, especially towards the end of the walk which is across fields.

To get there, drive to Macclesfield past the Arrighi Bianchi furniture shop on your right. At the roundabout, go straight on on the A523 Stockport road. After about half a mile or so, keep a look out for signs to Poynton to the right. Follow the road, still the A523, into Poynton. At the shared space in the centre of the town, go straight on. After a mile or so, look out for a turning lane to go right into Anglesey Drive and then IMMEDIATELY right into the free carpark.
