The first of two walks today from the same starting point giving you the flexibility of joining us for either two shorter walks or combine for a longer day of hiking.
In the morning we start with a workout and a steep ascent of Whiteleaf Hill with a view of the white cross etched into its side and into Brush Hill nature reserve. The effort is worth it for the views from the top, you can see all the way to Didcot and beyond. Heading down the hill surrounded by autumnal Chiltern beech woodlands, we pass possibly the most famous pub in the world, The Plough at Caddesden and unlike a former Prime Minister, we'll make sure we have everyone with us as we depart. Continuing onto Pulpit Hill nature reserve before heading back into Princes Risborough along the Ridgeway.
If you'd like to stay for the afternoon walk, please bring a packed lunch to eat in the playing fields behind the Wades Community Centre and plenty of water for the whole day. The Crew Cafe in the Wades centre sells hot drinks and has toilets.
