The first Thursday walk of the New Year starts from Littlecote Hotel and walks through the Ramsbury Estate, Bottom Coppice and up onto the ridge. From there we head north to Darrells Farm and then down to the River Kennett passing the memorial to the American and British troops stationed at Ramsbury airfield during the war. We then walk west to Ramsbury manor and then north towards Aldbourne. Just before the village, we turn south walking down back to Ramsbury and then back to Littlecote.
The walk is hilly in parts and is a mixture of tracks, fields, some muddy in places and a couple of by- ways, with 2 road sections. There are 4 stiles.
Please bring food and drinks for mid morning and lunch stops

The hotel entrance is at the top of Littlecote road (this is past the exit from the hotel). Please park to the west of the hotel by the tall conifers.
