We are the Derby and South Derbyshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join us to walk from the Health Centre in Askew Drive up to Mount Pleasant. We follow fields for a while, crossing one road, before joining a bridleway to Grey Sitch Farm. From there to a road then to a fp through a wood before crossing a road to join a fp to Bretby, finishing with fields back to Repton.
The group does not stop at cafes or pubs for lunch, so bring enough food and drinks with you to last the whole walk. We usually stop for a coffee break an hour or so into the walk, and eat our packed lunch around 1230-1300, although weather and suitable locations may affect both timings.
The walk leader has assessed this walk for the following risks, but during the walk others may become evident. You will come across stiles, gates and other path furniture, hedges etc. You will also come across road crossings, fields, muddy/slippery sections, probably farm livestock, & perhaps warning signs. You should remain stay alert and take individual responsibility.
